During free spins, its multiplier includes line and Free Spin Scatter wins but excludes Pot prizes. A retrigger adds the original spin allocation at the same multiplier. ## Find your answer - [Pot payouts](https://howtocasino.uk/best-slot/9-pots-of-gold/#pot-pays) - [Multiplier exception](https://howtocasino.uk/best-slot/9-pots-of-gold/#wheel-multiplier) - [Worked example](https://howtocasino.uk/best-slot/9-pots-of-gold/#worked-example) - [Retriggers](https://howtocasino.uk/best-slot/9-pots-of-gold/#retrigger) ![Illustrative payout: £2 line win plus £1 Free Spin Scatter win receive 3×, making £9. This is the five-reel original with 20 fixed paylines. MrQ credits Gameburger Studios and describes it as a Games Global title. It has Pot cash prizes and a Free Spins Wheel. > **Check the full title** > > Megaways, Lotsaloot, King Millions and Land & Win are separate editions. Match the title and feature rules before using this explanation; the words “9 Pots of Gold” alone do not identify every version. Calling both scatters does not make their rewards interchangeable. Our [guide to scatter symbols](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/what-is-a-scatter-in-slots/index.md) explains the broader term. Use the Pot count on that spin to find the corresponding prize in the game’s table. Only the highest qualifying count pays; do not add the lower Pot-count prizes together. The Pot amount uses total bet and is added to line wins. MrQ describes nine Pots on one spin as the 2,000× total-bet prize. This is the stated top Pot award, not proof of a limit for the entire game or free-spins round. > **A fixed prize is not a growing jackpot** > > A bet multiple alone does not establish a progressive jackpot. Do not transfer the jackpot rules of Lotsaloot or King Millions to the original. Checked 2026-11-06. ## Which wins does the Free Spins Wheel multiply? The wheel selects one segment containing a spin allocation and a multiplier. During free spins, line wins and Free Spin Scatter wins receive that multiplier; Pot prizes are added without it. These invented amounts explain the calculation; they are not paytable entries or a predicted result. | Step | Illustrative calculation | | --- | --- | | Combine eligible wins | £2 + £1 = £3 | | Apply multiplier | £3 × 3 = £9 | | Add unmultiplied Pot prize | £9 + £5 = £14 | Sources: - [9 Pots of Gold — original-game overview and feature rules](https://www.virgingames.com/uk/slots/9-pots-of-gold) — Virgin Games. Checked 2026-11-06. ## What happens when free spins retrigger? Three Free Spin Scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 add the original allocation of spins at the same multiplier. This is not a new wheel selection or a multiplier increase. Hypothetically, an initial 10 spins at 2× would mean 10 more at 2× on retrigger, not 4×. This does not confirm that exact wheel segment. We have not established the complete prize ladder, wheel segments or their probabilities. Our [paytable-reading guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-read-game-rules/index.md) shows which labels to look for. **Why we do not quote one maximum or RTP** MrQ’s feature section says 30 free spins; its FAQ says up to 25. Grosvenor’s body quotes 94.24% RTP and its terms line 96.24%. These inconsistencies do not establish different builds or identify the version in an account. We read the operators’ own indexed descriptions on 6 November 2026. Virgin and Jackpotjoy provide closely matching related-operator summaries, not independent game tests. We did not launch a game or verify an installed GB configuration. Sources: - [9 Pots of Gold — original slot listing and feature descriptions](https://mrq.com/slots-and-games/9-pots-of-gold) — MrQ. A public listing identifies a title; it does not confirm availability in your account. For casino terms and withdrawals, read our [Betfred Casino review](https://howtocasino.uk/casinos/betfred/index.md) or [Grosvenor Casino review](https://howtocasino.uk/casinos/grosvenor/index.md). Those checks are separate from the slot’s feature rules. Sources: - [9 Pots of Gold — five-reel original and Free Spins trigger](https://www.betfred.com/games/9potsofgold) — Betfred. No. The original’s Pot prizes count symbols anywhere on the reels. Nine Pots means nine on the same spin, rather than a nine-symbol payline. Sharing a title theme does not establish identical behaviour.
