## The short answer
Funky Time is Evolution’s live wheel game with number 1, twelve letter bets and four bonus bets. Back a position before the spin; only the result selected by the flapper wins or qualifies for its bonus. Random wheel boosts can increase the selected result. Add every stake to find your round cost: covering more positions does not guarantee a profit.

An accounting comparison, not a betting recommendation. Both examples use ordinary unboosted profit odds and count all seventeen separate stakes.
## What are the bets on the Funky Time wheel?
The original game has 64 wheel segments but 17 distinct betting positions. Number 1 is one position. Each of the twelve letters spelling PLAY FUNK TIME is a separate position. The remaining four positions are Bar, Stayin’ Alive, Disco and VIP Disco.

The allocation comes from Evolution’s supplier fact sheet, corroborated by the GB Betano description. The segment counts sum to 64; the four bonus labels are not four extra ordinary numbers. A letter bet covers that particular letter, not every letter in a word.
The shortcuts for all letters or all bonuses place several separate stakes. They do not give free coverage for the cost of one position. Check how many chips have been placed and the TOTAL BET figure before betting closes.

## What happens after you place a bet?
1. Choose the positions and individual stakes during the betting period.
2. Check the complete round cost before the betting period ends.
3. The host spins the wheel; random multipliers can be assigned to segments during the spin.
4. The flapper identifies the winning segment when the wheel stops.
5. An ordinary result settles its winning bet; a bonus result takes qualifying bets into that named bonus.
A boost matters when the selected segment is the boosted one that you backed. It is not a guarantee that every instance of a repeated number or letter, every position you chose or every outcome on the wheel receives the same boost.
You need a bet on the actual winning bonus position to participate for money. For example, a Bar bet does not qualify for Disco. Watching the animation, or making a later choice on screen, cannot replace the missing qualifying stake.

## How does the Bar bonus work?
Bar presents three glasses with multiplier values. Qualifying players choose a glass; the garnish feature multiplies one of the glasses. The documented feature then applies any entry-wheel boost across the glasses. If no selection is made, the game assigns one at random.
Your selected or assigned glass is the relevant result. A larger number revealed on a different glass is not automatically your award. When checking a record, distinguish the glass chosen, the garnish result, any entry boost and the final displayed value.
A displayed multiplier is not yet a complete pound settlement. The exact bonus paytable must establish the stake it applies to and whether its display includes the returned stake. We do not treat the ordinary letter’s 25:1 profit convention as proof of the Bar convention.

## How does Stayin’ Alive work?
Qualifying players select a colour team and begin with four lives in the documented rules. Balls are drawn from the bonus machine. A matching coloured ball advances that team’s ladder position by one level, or two for the corresponding double-step ball; a black STOP ball removes a life. The bonus continues until no lives remain.
The ladder starts at 5× and has twenty levels in the cited rules. An entry-wheel boost scales the ladder. The public rules cap displayed ladder values at 10,000×; that ceiling is not a probability of reaching the top or a universal pound payout.
Different teams can finish at different values. A broadcast or tracker showing the best team result does not establish what a player on another team received. Keep the chosen colour, completed ladder level and applicable boost with the round reference if a settlement needs checking.

## What is the difference between Disco and VIP Disco?
Both use an automated dancer on a floor of multiplier squares. The supplier and the inspected GB rules describe 37 squares for Disco and 63 for VIP Disco. They are not 3×3 grids. VIP Disco is a separate qualifying bet; an ordinary Disco stake does not become VIP entry.
An eight-sector direction wheel determines the movement up, down, left or right. The player does not steer the dancer. Regular square values reached during the dance add to its collected total. An entry-wheel boost is applied to regular floor values before the dance begins.
A special floor square doubles five randomly chosen regular squares. It does not simply double the entire total already collected. After a regular value is collected, that square is empty for two moves before resetting; landing on an empty square gives nothing for that square.
The feature ends when the dancer leaves the floor, or on reaching the 10,000× cap in the cited GB rules. A larger floor or higher permitted square values are differences in the feature, not a guarantee that one entry produces a larger personal return.
To follow a disputed result, record the qualifying bonus, entry boost and collected total. A single frame showing an unvisited large square cannot establish a payment you should have received.

## Can a winning position still leave the round in loss?
Yes. King Casino’s public rules define TOTAL BET as the sum of every bet placed in the current round. Net round result is the total money returned minus all those stakes, including the losing positions. The examples below use no wheel boost, promotion or payout cap.

In the first example, every wheel outcome was covered by a bet, yet the selected ordinary win returns less than the round cost. Coverage is therefore not the same as a profitable result. In the second, 25:1 is profit odds on one 20p letter stake; it is not 25 times the full £3.40 purchase.
The third example is a losing round even if the Disco bonus displays a large final result. Neither stake was on Disco. That is an entry question, separate from the calculation of a qualifying player’s award.
These amounts are invented to explain accounting, not advice to cover the wheel. Bonus cash examples are omitted because the inspected public GB documents do not establish the selected current table’s exact bonus return convention. Read that table before converting a displayed bonus “×” to pounds.

### Do I get the Disco bonus if I only bet on Bar?
No. Entry requires a bet on the selected bonus position. A Bar stake does not qualify for Disco or VIP Disco, even though you can watch those bonuses.

### Can I use the biggest tracker result as my own payout?
No. A player needs the relevant qualifying stake, and Bar glass or Stayin’ Alive colour choices can produce different results. The current paytable, accepted bet and recorded choice determine the relevant settlement, not an unrelated maximum shown in a feed.
