The ten-spin version explained here triggers the candy-bomb bonus at eight or more Slingos, or three or more bonus symbols on one spin. Purchased extra spins add to the cost. ## Find your answer - [Grid and lines](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-play-slingo-sweet-bonanza/#grid-and-lines) - [Bonus routes](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-play-slingo-sweet-bonanza/#bonus-routes) - [Extra-spin costs](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-play-slingo-sweet-bonanza/#paid-extra-spins) ![An invented Slingo cost record: £1 initial cost plus paid additions of 60p and £1.20 makes £2.80 total paid. It is not a game screen, extra-spin quote or actual ladder prize. ## Is Slingo Sweet Bonanza the same as the Sweet Bonanza slot? They share a theme, but the Slingo game uses a number grid, completed lines and a ladder. It is identified as Slingo Originals. The original Pragmatic Play Sweet Bonanza slot uses a different symbol-and-tumble system, so its scatter, multiplier and free-spin rules do not transfer to this game. This explanation follows the ten-initial-spin, eight-Slingo bonus version described on Slingo.com and corroborated by the checked GB operator descriptions. Open the selected game’s help if its ladder or labels differ. The [general Slingo guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-play-slingo/index.md) explains the format; our [classic Sweet Bonanza article](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-do-you-play-classic-sweet-bonanza/index.md) answers the separate slot question. Completing one of the game’s defined five-number lines gives a Slingo and advances the ladder. The initial game includes ten spins; awarded extra spins and purchased extra spins are separate additions. The illustrated rulebook shows twelve win lines: five horizontal, five vertical and two diagonal. Its ladder has eleven award positions because marking the last remaining square completes at least two lines together. A full house means the whole grid is marked; it is not a missing twelfth selectable prize. Follow the displayed line map and marked positions. A group of five numbers elsewhere on the grid does not automatically form one of those defined lines. Keep a line count separate from a count of completed games or cash prizes. Count the lines actually completed after the choice; do not award one cash prize for every number in a line. The game’s ladder determines the resulting award. The checked Slingo.com description and the GB operator pages agree on two routes: complete at least eight Slingos, or land at least three qualifying bonus symbols on a single spin. Five completed Slingos is a lower ladder stage in the compared description, not its bonus threshold. In the candy-bomb feature, picks reveal values that are accumulated under the bonus rules. The number of picks and any applicable multiplier depend on the route and ladder position. A lollipop can retrigger the feature. Check the actual screen for the current number of picks and whether a displayed total already includes a multiplier. Gala’s published description gives the following ladder-triggered bonus settings. The illustrated rulebook shows the same ladder. These entries distinguish a number of picks from a multiplier; your selected game’s own help takes precedence if its table differs. | Ladder result in the compared description | Bonus picks | Stated bonus multiplier | | --- | --- | --- | | 8 Slingos | 3 | No additional 2× or 4× ladder boost stated | | 9 Slingos | 4 | No additional 2× or 4× ladder boost stated | | 10 Slingos | 4 | 2× | | Full house | 4 | 4× | A trigger from bonus symbols has its own schedule. Do not assign the eight-Slingo row to every three-symbol trigger, or apply a multiplier again when the final result already includes it. This is an in-game feature, not an operator welcome promotion. A casino’s bonus-credit conditions are a separate question from triggering this game’s candy bombs. The illustrated rulebook says the extra-spin price depends on the current grid and potential prizes, can exceed the base stake, and is shown on the spin button. It also describes controls for extra-spin count, offered price and total game exposure. Those are descriptions of that documented build; check the controls offered in your current GB game. The money already spent remains part of the result even if the next paid spin completes a line. If you do not want another paid spin, use the game’s collect or finish option under its rules rather than treating the unfinished grid as an obligation to continue. | Hypothetical money record | Amount | | --- | --- | | Initial game cost | £1.00 | | First accepted extra spin | £0.60 | | Second accepted extra spin | £1.20 | | Complete paid cost | £2.80 | | Assumed final total return | £4.00 | | Net result | £4.00 − £2.80 = £1.20 profit | These prices and the £4 return are invented to explain the ledger, not quoted offers or a named ladder payout. The final return is assumed to include every award; nothing is added twice. With no return, the same accepted costs lose £2.80. With a £2 return, the net result is an 80p loss. Our [Slingo explanation](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-play-slingo/index.md) covers the broader extra-spin distinction. A low starting price alone does not measure the total amount spent on a game. The illustrated Loto-Québec document distinguishes the base-game theoretical return from the extra-spin return and states that its figures depend on best-strategy assumptions. Its dollar amounts and local completion rules are not current GB account settings. The Betfred description supplies another public product statement, not a test of every GB installation. We have not verified your account’s configuration, the precise extra-spin prices it will offer or a universal maximum payout. A theoretical percentage also does not predict what your next grid will return. If the displayed ladder, threshold or rules do not match the version explained here, stop using these examples to calculate that game. Read the exact help and ask the operator to clarify the mismatch. Separate the initial game cost from awarded spins and each paid addition. 4. For a bonus, use the displayed pick count, applicable multiplier and final settlement. 5. Keep the game reference and complete paid/returned totals if a result needs explaining. This mechanics article does not verify personal account access or advertise a current offer. **Sources, versions and the conflicting short description** We read Slingo.com’s game and release descriptions, Gala Bingo and Betfred product pages, and the illustrated English rules hosted by Loto-Québec on 2 November 2026. The rulebook was read visually, including its line map and extra-spin notes. An earlier indexed Light & Wonder description mentioned five Slingos, but its URL now redirects to a general gateway. We do not use that short description as the rules for this answer. The eight-Slingo route is corroborated by the named product descriptions and the illustrated ladder. The foreign rulebook supports the illustrated mechanics and cost distinction. It does not establish a current GB RTP, stake limit, local three-hour completion rule or personal account configuration. No account, game or payment was tested. Sources: - [Slingo Sweet Bonanza: ten-spin game, eight-Slingo bonus and special symbols](https://www.slingo.com/slingo/slingo-sweet-bonanza/) — Slingo.com. A Free Spin symbol can award more, while purchased extra spins add a separate cost. The checked product pages require at least eight completed Slingos or at least three bonus symbols on a single spin. Use your actual ladder if a different version is offered. The eleven-stage ladder therefore does not mean the grid has only eleven possible lines.
