## The short answer

Yes. On 2 November 2026, betmgm.co.uk was listed as active under LeoVegas Gaming PLC, whose UKGC account 39198 had active Remote Casino permission. That confirms GB licensing, not a guarantee of payments or protection from gambling losses. Its terms describe medium insolvency protection. Check the applicable withdrawal and bonus conditions, including the support route for balances below £10.

Dated public-document checks on 2 November 2026. The licence, domain record and insolvency category answer different questions; no account, game or withdrawal was tested.

## Which BetMGM website and company are covered?

This check concerns betmgm.co.uk and casino services for adults in Great Britain. The current terms name LeoVegas Gaming PLC as the contracting company. The Gambling Commission’s public register lists its Remote Casino permission as active and separately lists betmgm.co.uk as an active domain.

| Item checked on 2 November 2026 | Public record | Why it matters |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Website | betmgm.co.uk | A familiar logo alone does not identify the website you are using. |
| Legal operator | LeoVegas Gaming PLC | This is the entity named in the GB terms and licence record. |
| UKGC account | 39198 | The business identifier used to find the licence. |
| Casino permission | Remote Casino: Active | Check the activity as well as the business name. |

Do not use a dollar-denominated BetMGM guide or another country’s terms to establish the rules on this GB service. Payment methods, responsible-gambling tools, offers and dispute routes need the correct market’s documents.

If you are checking a link from an advert or message, compare its destination with the register before entering account details. Our [casino licence guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/how-to-check-casino-licence/index.md) shows how to match the company, permission and domain.

## Does a licence mean every policy or payment is guaranteed?

A licence establishes permission for the listed activity. It is not an assessment that the casino suits your budget, a guarantee that a game will return money or a ruling on any individual withdrawal dispute. A licensed operator still has to use fair, transparent terms and follow applicable regulatory requirements.

For a useful check, keep three questions separate: is this the licensed GB service, what do its current rules say, and what happened in the particular transaction? An active register entry answers the first. The accepted terms and account records are needed for the others.

We have checked public documents and records, rather than opened a funded account. We do not assign a safety score, promise payout speed from a test we did not perform, or treat a game catalogue as proof that every listed game is accessible to every account.

## What does medium customer-funds protection mean?

Clauses 9.11–9.12 of BetMGM’s terms state that customer money is held separately from business accounts and that arrangements have been made for distribution to customers in insolvency. The operator describes this as the Gambling Commission’s medium protection category.

The Commission explains that medium protection involves arrangements beyond simple separation, but repayment is not guaranteed. It concerns what happens if the gambling business becomes insolvent. It does not insure gambling losses or mean every disputed balance must be paid immediately.

UKGC’s definition of customer funds includes deposits, winnings owed or left in the account, and bonus money to which the customer has become entitled under the offer terms. Money already staked in an open bet is excluded from that definition. Do not treat every number on a cashier screen as the same kind of protected cash.

Our [casino closure guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/what-happens-if-an-online-casino-closes/index.md) explains the insolvency question and the distinction between a held balance and an unresolved payout.

## What do the public withdrawal rules actually say?

BetMGM’s withdrawal help describes funds normally arriving within one to three business days after approval. That is not a one-to-three-day guarantee from the moment you submit a request. Its help says payment method and verification can affect the process, and directs customers to support if an approved payment has not arrived after three working days.

The terms say withdrawals normally return to the deposit method where possible, in the account holder’s name. If the original method has expired or is unavailable, the help directs you to contact support to update the route. Do not use someone else’s account as a replacement.

| Question | Important distinction |
| --- | --- |
| Has the request been submitted? | A request is not yet a completed bank payment. |
| Has it been approved? | The published delivery estimate starts after approval. |
| Has it been sent? | Retain the payment method, date and reference if tracing is needed. |
| Is the original payment method unavailable? | Ask support for the permitted alternative rather than guessing. |
| Is the remaining balance below £10? | There is a support route; the small-withdrawal fee clause needs checking. |

The public help says withdrawals are not cancellable once requested. It also notes that statements can show BetMGM or LeoVegas. If a payment appears under an unfamiliar description, compare the amount and reference with the account history before deciding what it is.

For a delay, our [withdrawal-stages guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/why-do-casino-withdrawals-take-time/index.md) helps separate operator review from receiving-bank processing. It does not turn a published estimate into a guaranteed deadline.

## Can you withdraw less than £10, and is it fee-free?

The public balance help gives a £10 withdrawal minimum but tells customers with less than £10 cash to contact support. Clause 9.10.5 likewise provides a support route for smaller amounts and allows a reasonable processing fee. The clause does not publish a fixed fee figure.

There is a material difference between the general withdrawal help saying no operator withdrawal fees and the terms reserving this small-withdrawal fee. We therefore do not describe every withdrawal as unconditionally free. Ask support for the amount of any charge and the amount that would actually be returned before authorising a small-balance withdrawal.

The Commission’s deposit-balance guidance permits a fair, transparent processing fee only up to a reasonable estimate of direct processing costs. It also distinguishes withdrawing the full deposit balance from reasonable limits on smaller, separate withdrawals. A headline minimum alone does not explain the treatment of your entire remaining balance.

Do not deposit extra money or place another bet just to reach a cashier minimum. Ask about the support-assisted route and retain the answer if the balance remains inaccessible.

## Are deposited cash, bonus money and verification treated alike?

No. A qualifying bonus can have its own eligibility, game contribution, expiry and withdrawal conditions. Those conditions are not proof that a player must gamble their own deposit balance before requesting it back.

One BetMGM balance-help page says deposited funds need to be wagered under its terms. That broad sentence should not be used as a universal play-through rule for own deposits: UKGC guidance says customers must be allowed to withdraw their deposit balance, including during an active bonus, subject to general regulatory obligations. Ask for the exact basis of any restriction.

Verification is another issue. The Commission requires age and identity checks before online gambling, while later legal obligations can require additional information. A legitimate later request is not the same as a promotional wagering requirement. Our [verification guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/why-do-casinos-ask-for-id/index.md) explains what to clarify.

For any bonus you are considering, save the exact offer and significant terms rather than relying on an old review’s welcome-offer amount. This article does not verify a current promotion or personal eligibility.

## Has the licence holder faced regulatory action?

Yes. The Commission announced a £1.32 million penalty against LeoVegas on 3 August 2022 for social-responsibility and anti-money-laundering failures, alongside an official warning and an audit requirement. Its announcement names the services relevant to that historical action; it does not identify today’s BetMGM transaction as affected.

An earlier announcement on 2 May 2018 described a £600,000 penalty and other payments concerning misleading advertising and self-exclusion failings. These are dated findings about the licence holder, rather than evidence that its regulatory history is clear.

Read historical findings alongside the current register. An old penalty is not itself a current licence suspension; an active licence does not erase the finding. Neither tells us whether an individual customer will receive a particular payout.

## Who handles a BetMGM GB complaint?

BetMGM’s GB complaint help starts with customer service and gives support@betmgm.co.uk for a complaint that cannot be resolved immediately. It describes a further review by a complaints specialist and names IBAS as its appointed alternative dispute resolution provider, free to customers.

For an eligible unresolved gambling-transaction dispute, referral can follow a final position or the applicable eight-week complaint period, allowing for appropriate pauses. That clock is not a promise of payment within eight weeks, and not every service complaint falls within an ADR provider’s remit.

State the account decision, transaction reference, dates and precise calculation you dispute. Our [unpaid-casino guide](https://howtocasino.uk/guides/what-to-do-if-a-casino-will-not-pay/index.md) covers the complaint record and escalation; HowToCasino does not receive private account evidence or act as a claims handler.

### Is BetMGM UK operated by LeoVegas?

The current GB terms name LeoVegas Gaming PLC, and the Gambling Commission lists betmgm.co.uk under account 39198. That is the company/domain match checked here; another country’s BetMGM documents do not establish the GB rules.

### Does medium protection guarantee my casino balance?

No. It describes insolvency arrangements, not a guarantee of full repayment or insurance against gambling losses. An individual withdrawal dispute is also different from the operator becoming insolvent.

### Does the £10 withdrawal minimum mean a smaller balance is lost?

Not automatically. The public help and terms provide a customer-support route below £10. The terms allow a reasonable processing fee without specifying its amount, so obtain the proposed charge and net payment in writing.
