Treat it as another wager
If you stake £5 on the main hand and £1 on a side bet, the combined stake is £6. A side-bet prize should be considered alongside all the money staked, rather than in isolation.
The familiar blackjack name can hide several different bets. Some relate to the opening cards, while others depend on the dealer’s eventual result. Read when the side bet is settled.
Names do not replace a paytable
Evolution’s Infinite Blackjack lists Any Pair, 21+3, Hot 3 and Bust It as optional side bets. That does not mean another blackjack table offers the same selection or uses identical payouts.
- Check which cards count towards the result.
- Check the qualifying combinations and payout amounts.
- Check the side bet’s own RTP or house-edge information when provided.
- Check the total stake before the betting window closes.
A side bet does not improve the main hand
Adding an optional wager does not make your blackjack cards stronger. A payout on a separate bet can coexist with a loss on the main hand, and both bets can lose.
If you only want the main game, optional side bets do not need to be selected. More betting areas are more decisions and potentially more money at risk.
