What does your bonus selection actually control?

Read the active-feature display before a round starts. Changing a menu setting is different from selecting a winning outcome.

Read the displayed selection as an eligibility list. For an invented example, call five possible features A, B, C, D and E. Choosing A and C marks those two as eligible. It says nothing about whether the next round produces A, C, an ordinary win or no return.

QuestionWhat the selection tells you
Is this feature switched on?Check its selected symbol beneath the reels.
Will it trigger next? The choice supplies no prediction.
Have I already won its advertised prize?Eligibility is not an award. A qualifying result must still occur.

This distinction is useful when recording a disputed result: note the exact game title, selection, round identifier and displayed outcome. A screenshot of a feature menu alone cannot show what the later round returned.

What are the five Rainbow Riches Pick ’n’ Mix bonuses?

Mecca Bingo’s public game description names five different feature types. The short comparison below describes their format; it does not rank their expected return or recommend the most profitable choice.

FeatureWhat happens in the feature
Road to RichesA step wheel moves along a prize path until collection or the end.
Pots of GoldMoving pots stop and an arrow identifies the awarded pot.
Free SpinsA qualifying trigger starts a sequence of included spins.
Cash CropSpinning coins build prizes; Go On and Collect determine continuation.
Magic ToadstoolPick from a field of toadstools; a fairy can reveal additional prizes.

A preference for one presentation is a reasonable way to understand the menu. It is not evidence that its rewards outweigh its trigger probability. We have not established comparative hit rates or a best-return selection for a current GB build.

The original Rainbow Riches and Slingo Rainbow Riches have their own rules. Use the original Rainbow Riches guide for its fixed feature set, or the Slingo guide for the number-grid game.

How do the free spins differ from an ordinary paid spin?

Mecca’s named public model gives 10, 20 or 30 free spins for three, four or five Free Spins symbols, with a required symbol on each of reels one, three and five. It also describes retriggers during the feature. These are in-game rules, separate from a casino welcome offer.

For a simple accounting example, suppose one paid round costs 40p and its included feature eventually returns £3.60. If there are no other returns, the round’s net result is £3.60 − £0.40 = £3.20 profit. The included turns do not each create another 40p debit.

If that same paid round returns nothing, its result is a 40p loss. If it returns 20p, the result is a 20p loss. Record the final combined return rather than counting each animation as a separate paid wager.

The amounts are invented, not claims about this slot’s stake menu, paytable or typical result. The casino free-spins guide explains promotional spins, whose account conditions need a separate check.

Why must you check whether a multiplier uses the line stake?

An amount labelled “times stake” is incomplete unless its base is clear. A total-round stake and a stake per line are different quantities. This matters here because Mecca’s repeated Cash Crop descriptions use different wording for the award base; we cannot turn that conflict into one confirmed cash formula.

Invented 20-line exampleCalculation
Total paid round: £0.40, shared equally£0.40 ÷ 20 = £0.02 per line
An invented award of 50× line stake50 × £0.02 = £1
An invented award of 50× total stake50 × £0.40 = £20

The two possible interpretations differ by a factor of twenty. Neither £1 nor £20 is presented as the actual Cash Crop payout. The purpose is to show why guessing the base creates a material error.

Keep the award heading, stake display and feature rules together. If a paytable is denominated in coins or credits, first identify their cash value. Do not copy a headline multiplier from a different Rainbow Riches edition and apply it to the balance on your screen.

Our payline guide explains line stakes in more detail. If a completed round appears inconsistent, retain its identifier and use the game-dispute process rather than placing more bets to reproduce it.

Which rules, RTP and controls does this answer cover?

We checked Danske Spil’s older, non-GB English help on 5 November 2026; its literal modification date is “5/10/2017”. A November 2017 supplier release confirms that the title already existed. Neither source verifies a current casino account’s configuration.

Virgin Games and Mecca publish GB game pages, but their descriptions are not identical. Virgin’s introduction places selection after a feature triggers, which conflicts with the older explicit selection instructions. We use those instructions for this scoped answer, without claiming that every later edition has the same interface.

Mecca also displays 96.00% RTP for its public listing. That is a named listing figure, not proof of the percentage installed in every version. Check the exact game’s information panel; the RTP guide explains why a long-run percentage does not predict one feature’s return.

The older help includes Big Bet. Its controls are not verified current GB options. Our bonus-buy guide addresses the UK question separately.

We do not quote a universal maximum-win multiple: the consulted descriptions disagree about the basis of some five-symbol cash awards. Nor do we apply a later reissue’s specification to the original model merely because its name is similar.

How should you check a UK casino’s version?

Search for the complete title, including Pick ’n’ Mix, and open that game’s information before interpreting a feature description. Compare the supplier name, active-choice display, relevant trigger and award units. Keep the current terms beside any promotional offer; a game rule and an offer condition answer different questions.

A public game page is a useful lead, but we have not logged in, launched an account’s build or tested a payment. If the version differs from the dated model above, use its own rules instead of combining the two.

The named-slot finder covers finding the right edition. Our Virgin Games review covers its separately checked operator and money rules; it does not certify that a particular slot is available to every account today.

Does choosing fewer bonuses guarantee better returns?

No such guarantee is established by the sources checked for this answer. A choice count alone is insufficient to calculate expected return or feature probability.

Is this the same as the original Rainbow Riches?

No. This answer concerns Pick ’n’ Mix’s selectable-feature model; the original Rainbow Riches and Slingo Rainbow Riches have separate answers.

Does this page include a playable demo?

No. It explains bonus selection and payout checks. A practice build would need its own version and access checks and would not verify another casino’s configuration.
