Which Wild West Gold game does this explain?

This is Pragmatic Play’s original Wild West Gold, released in March 2020: five reels, four rows and 40 paylines. Megaways and Blazing Bounty are separate releases. Blazing Bounty uses a five-by-five cluster layout; use its own rules rather than this payline calculation.

Do the multipliers add or multiply?

Add the Wild values participating in that winning line, then multiply its ordinary paytable award by the sum.

These cash line awards are invented to demonstrate the arithmetic. They are not actual symbol prices, suggested stakes or results from a played game.

Start with the line award, not the entire spin stake. A return also differs from profit: any paid-spin cost must still be deducted.

Why does “on the same payline” matter?

A Wild outside a winning line does not affect that line’s multiplier. Our payline explanation covers how a path follows particular row positions.

In a second hypothetical example, line A has a £0.20 award with 2x and 5x Wilds: £0.20 × 7 = £1.40. Line B has a £0.30 award with one 3x Wild: £0.30 × 3 = £0.90. With no other awards, the return is £2.30. Applying every visible Wild to both lines would overstate it.

What stays sticky during Free Spins?

Wilds appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 and replace ordinary symbols, not Scatters. During Free Spins they remain in their cells with the multiplier assigned on arrival. A retained 3x Wild does not become 6x merely because another spin passes.

“Sticky” describes retention; “multiplier” describes an effect on an eligible award. The wild-symbol guide explains how those properties differ. The retention rule applies during the feature, rather than to later paid spins.

How do the eight free spins and retriggers work?

Three Scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 start eight free spins. During the feature, overlay Scatters award extra spins and may appear over other symbols, including held Wilds.

Suppose a spin starts with five spins remaining, including the one being used. If it awards four extra spins, the next counter is 5 − 1 + 4 = 8. This invented example accounts for the consumed spin; it does not predict a retrigger.

Promotional free spins supplied by a casino have separate terms; this explains the in-game feature.

Which limits should you check in the loaded game?

Bet442’s published original rules specify a 10,000x round cap: reaching it ends the round and cancels remaining free spins. The supplier’s launch also names that maximum. These sources do not establish the cap installed in every current GB game.

Check the loaded game’s information panel for its RTP, maximum and other conditions. No installed GB RTP is established here. Our RTP guide explains the limits of a long-run percentage.

How can you check that the explanation matches your game?

  1. Match the complete title and provider; do not apply the original’s rules to a sequel.
  2. Open the paytable and check the line, Wild and Free Spins rules separately.
  3. Read the RTP and round maximum shown for that installation.

Betfred and Bet442 publish pages for the original game. That does not confirm access on your account. The Pragmatic Play casino guide separates provider evidence from an exact-title check.

Sources and limits

Betfred’s indexed overview says three rows, contrary to the supplier’s four. We follow the supplier. A historical Czech-hosted rules screenshot corroborates addition; its surrounding feature prose is contradictory and is not used.

Related questions

Does a 2x Wild plus a 5x Wild make 10x?

No. On the same winning payline they add to 7x. Apply that factor to the qualifying line award.

Does the multiplier increase on every free spin?

No. The assigned value stays fixed. New Wilds can change a line’s combined multiplier; elapsed spins do not increase a held value.

Does each new sticky Wild give extra spins?

No. The extra-spin awards depend on overlay Scatters. A Wild landing alone is a different event.

Can a held Wild produce no line payment?

Yes. Its position stays held, but a qualifying line combination is still needed to pay.
