Which Sweet Bonanza does this guide cover?
This guide covers the original 2019 Pragmatic Play slot, identified in the supplier overview as vs20fruitsw. Sweet Bonanza 1000, Super Scatter, Xmas, Pop and the live CandyLand game are separate titles. A matching theme does not establish matching rules.
The explanation is for adults in Great Britain. It describes the original game’s documented mechanics; the loaded GB game supplies the applicable stake options, RTP and payment limits. We have not tested a real-money account or verified a particular operator’s current configuration.
The supplier calls the original a pay-anywhere game. Its ordinary symbols do not have to touch or form a line from left to right. There is no wild substitute symbol in the original supplier overview. Our payline guide explains why a pay-anywhere count differs from following a marked path.
How do you set the stake and start a spin?
- Check the full title and open the information or help menu before staking. Read the payout table, free-spin rules, RTP and maximum-win conditions.
- Set an amount you can afford to lose and a stopping point. Check the total stake shown in pounds; a coin value or bet-level number alone may not be the full cost.
- Use the stake controls to choose that total, then press Spin once. Let its complete tumble sequence and any triggered feature settle.
- Compare the total returned with the amount paid for that cycle before starting another paid spin.
Great Britain’s online-slot limits are £2 per game cycle for adults aged 18 to 24 and £5 for adults aged 25 or over. A game or account can impose a lower limit. Foreign rule sheets displaying stakes such as £100 or $125 do not establish what a GB player can stake.
The information panel may show awards in coins, cash or stake multiples. Keep the paytable’s calculation base separate from the total cost. See our guide to reading game rules if the displayed denominations are unclear.
How do matching symbols and the paytable work?
There are 30 positions: six columns and five rows. On each evaluated screen, count each ordinary symbol type separately. Seven bananas do not win an ordinary-symbol award; eight bananas do. Four bananas and four grapes do not combine into eight matching symbols.
The original paytable uses three count bands: 8–9, 10–11 and 12 or more. The table below expresses its ordinary awards as multiples of the normal total stake, with the optional increased-cost setting off. A cash display may show the equivalent amount for your chosen stake.
| Ordinary symbol | 8–9 matching | 10–11 matching | 12+ matching |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red heart sweet | 10× | 25× | 50× |
| Purple square sweet | 2.5× | 10× | 25× |
| Green pentagon sweet | 2× | 5× | 15× |
| Blue oval sweet | 1.5× | 2× | 12× |
| Apple | 1× | 1.5× | 10× |
| Plum | 0.8× | 1.2× | 8× |
| Watermelon | 0.5× | 1× | 5× |
| Grapes | 0.4× | 0.9× | 4× |
| Banana | 0.25× | 0.75× | 2× |
Apply the one count band reached for each symbol type on that screen. Twelve hearts qualify for 50×; you do not also add the 8–9 and 10–11 heart awards. Different qualifying symbol types can pay together, and their awards add.
What happens during a tumble sequence?
After an ordinary-symbol win, the paying ordinary symbols disappear. Remaining symbols fall into the spaces and new symbols arrive from above. The game assesses that replacement screen and repeats the process if it contains another ordinary-symbol win. These tumbles do not require another stake.
The sequence ends when a replacement screen produces no further ordinary-symbol winning combination. The original rules state no numerical limit on tumble count. This does not mean a spin must continue or make a profit.
Lollipop scatters are treated separately. The supplier overview says scatters do not tumble, with one scatter payout assessed at the end of all tumbles. A scatter payout without an ordinary-symbol win does not start the tumble feature. Do not count the same visible lollipops as a fresh cash award on every replacement screen.
How do you trigger and extend free spins?
Four, five or six lollipop scatters award ten free spins in the original game. The scatter count changes the associated cash award, not the initial number of free spins. The ordinary eight-symbol requirement does not apply to these special scatters.
| Lollipops on the qualifying sequence | Scatter award at normal stake | Initial free spins |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 3× | 10 |
| 5 | 5× | 10 |
| 6 | 100× | 10 |
During the feature, three or more lollipop scatters award five additional free spins. Three is the extension threshold inside free spins; it is not the base-game entry threshold. At a normal 80p trigger stake, four lollipops have a £2.40 scatter award before the subsequent feature’s results.
For example, if a qualifying free spin leaves four spins on the counter before the extension is added, five extra spins bring that counter to nine. The extension can occur again during the feature. The original rule sheet does not state a numerical retrigger-count limit; check the loaded game’s maximum-win conditions as well.
The feature uses special reels and adds multiplier symbols. Its spins do not deduct a fresh normal stake for each spin. Free spins earned within this game should also be distinguished from a casino’s promotional free-spin offer, which has separate terms.
How do Sweet Bonanza’s multiplier symbols work?
The original’s rainbow multiplier symbols appear only during free spins. Each receives a random value from 2× to 100× and stays until that free spin’s tumble sequence finishes. At the end, add all multiplier values present and multiply that sequence’s total winnings by the sum.
The multiplier belongs to that completed sequence. It does not become a running balance carried through the remaining free spins. If no multiplier is present, the eligible winnings retain their ordinary value. A multiplier symbol pays nothing by itself, so a 100× symbol with £0 to multiply returns £0.
| Illustrative step at an 80p trigger stake | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary awards in one free-spin sequence | 40p + 80p | £1.20 |
| Two multiplier symbols remain | 3× + 8× | 11× |
| Multiply the sequence’s winnings | £1.20 × 11 | £13.20 |
The £13.20 is the amount returned by that one illustrative free-spin sequence, assuming no limiting condition intervenes. Multiplying 3 by 8 would give the wrong multiplier. Multiplying the 80p stake by 11 would also use the wrong base: here it is the £1.20 sequence win that receives the multiplier.
The worked multiplier example contains ordinary symbol awards only. The original documents do not separately explain how a cash scatter award during free spins interacts with the multiplier. Use the loaded game’s rules for that combined case.
Keep the whole paid cycle’s accounting separate. To work out its net profit or loss, add all applicable returns from the triggering spin and the feature, then subtract the actual amount paid once. Do not subtract another 80p for each free spin or describe one feature-spin return as the feature’s total profit.
Why might GB controls differ from a foreign demo?
An international demo or rule sheet may display Buy Feature, an increased-cost Ante Bet setting, autoplay or quick-spin controls. Their presence in that material does not establish availability on the GB service you use. Use the controls and cost information supplied by the loaded GB game.
The Gambling Commission instructed licensees to remove slot products offering feature buy-ins. A bonus-buy button is therefore not a route to use on a GB-licensed service. The game’s naturally triggered ten-spin feature remains distinct from purchasing entry.
GB rules require an individual commitment to each game cycle and prohibit autoplay. Slot game cycles must be at least 2.5 seconds apart, and controls such as turbo, quick spin and slam stop are prohibited under the game-design rules. Watching several tumbles or free spins within an already triggered feature does not mean you have placed another paid spin.
What are the RTP and maximum-win limits?
Pragmatic Play’s current public product page displays 96.48% RTP. That supplier figure does not verify the configuration of a particular GB operator’s loaded game. Read its information panel; a promotional description or a different demo cannot settle that question. RTP describes a theoretical long-run return, not the amount a session will repay.
The supplier’s June 2019 launch announcement advertised potential wins up to 21,175× the original bet, and its original overview lists that maximum multiplier win. These describe the original supplier model. They do not establish the enforceable cash cap, treatment of remaining spins or any lower operator limit on a current GB deployment.
Check both the game’s maximum-win rule and the operator’s relevant payment terms. The original rule sheet does not state when reaching a total would cancel remaining spins. Check that point in the loaded game’s rules; the supplier’s historical headline is not enough to establish the current GB settlement limit.
Can a strategy make the feature arrive sooner?
A run without scatters does not establish that the next paid spin is due to trigger free spins. GB standards prohibit adaptive, compensated outcomes and require random results under the stated game rules. Increasing the stake to recover previous losses raises the money exposed; it does not supply evidence of an imminent feature.
This guide has not verified a current GB trigger probability or hit-frequency figure, so it cannot promise a feature within a given number of spins. Understanding slot volatility helps explain why a headline return percentage cannot predict your session.
- Confirm that the title is the original Sweet Bonanza and that its help explains pay-anywhere wins.
- Check the actual total cost, normal paytable base and any optional setting before committing to a spin.
- Read the loaded game’s RTP, maximum-win conditions and the operator’s applicable terms.
- Keep to the amount and stopping point you decided beforehand; a near-trigger does not create an obligation to continue.
Related questions
Do the matching symbols have to touch or line up?
No. In classic Sweet Bonanza, eight or more of the same ordinary symbol can pay anywhere on the 6×5 screen. The total count of that symbol determines the payout band. You cannot combine different symbol types to reach eight.
Do three lollipops start the bonus?
Three lollipops do not start the original base-game feature. Four or more are required for ten initial free spins. Once inside that feature, three or more scatters award five additional free spins.
Does a 100× bomb mean I win 100 times my stake?
The bomb multiplies eligible winnings from its free-spin tumble sequence, rather than paying a standalone prize. If the sequence has no winnings, it returns nothing. Multiple bombs add their values before multiplying that sequence’s winnings.
Do multipliers carry into the next free spin?
No. The original rule keeps them through the current tumble sequence and applies their combined value when it ends. It does not carry that multiplier sum through the whole feature.
Can I buy Sweet Bonanza free spins in Great Britain?
Do not expect a feature buy on a GB-licensed service. The Gambling Commission instructed licensees to remove slot products with feature buy-in functionality. Instructions for an international Buy Feature button do not establish an option available to GB players.
Does 96.48% RTP mean I will get £96.48 back from £100?
No. That is the supplier product page’s theoretical figure, not a promise about £100 of your play or proof of a particular operator’s configuration. Your session can return much less, including nothing; check the loaded game’s own information.
