Why does an old 32Red licence show as surrendered?
There are two different legal businesses in the register. For the service checked on 2 November 2026, the current terms name Platinum Gaming Limited and UKGC account 45322. Its domain list includes www.32red.com as active. Its Remote Casino permission is active too.

Match the exact website, legal company and casino activity together. A search result for the old company can be accurate about that old record and still give the wrong answer about the current service. The register entries alone do not establish the date or contractual terms of any individual account transfer.

What does medium customer-funds protection mean at 32Red?
Clause 9.12 describes customer balances supported by a bank guarantee and labels the arrangement medium protection. Read that stated category alongside the Gambling Commission’s explanation: arrangements exist for insolvency, but getting the money back is not absolutely guaranteed.
This is a question about the business failing. It does not make a losing bet refundable or decide whether an individual disputed win is payable. The regulator’s customer-funds definition includes deposits, winnings owed or retained in the account, and bonus money already earned under its terms. Stakes committed to open bets are excluded.
If a balance matters to a dispute, keep a dated statement showing what the amount represents. A cash balance, a pending withdrawal and a promotional figure can appear in different parts of an account without being three additional sums owed. Can you withdraw a 32Red balance below £5?
Clause 11.4 sets a standard £5 minimum, but says customers with less can contact support to withdraw the full balance. Clause 11.6 says 32Red does not charge for the specified online-payment and card withdrawals. Your payment provider’s own restrictions still need checking.
For example, if your entire available real-money balance is £3.20, the stated route is to ask support for that full £3.20. You do not need to increase the balance by gambling to reach the ordinary minimum. This example assumes the balance is cleared cash and no separate lawful restriction applies.

A pending bonus does not itself remove the GB right to withdraw the deposit balance. UKGC guidance preserves that right, subject to general regulatory obligations, and requires deposit and bonus balances to be displayed separately. Ask which balance is affected if the explanation is simply that a bonus exists.

Why might a withdrawal still be pending?
The terms make access to cleared cash conditional on relevant checks and legal restrictions. A request may therefore need an explanation of the outstanding check or transaction issue before a useful arrival estimate can be given. This does not establish that every delay is justified.
For GB online gambling, age and identity must be verified before play. UKGC also recognises that later legal obligations can require additional information. Its guidance says requests should be made promptly and that information which could have been requested earlier should not simply be deferred until withdrawal.
- Keep the request reference, date, amount and payment method.
- Ask whether the request is awaiting a document review, awaiting approval, or already sent to the payment provider.
- If documents are outstanding, ask exactly what is needed and use the operator’s secure submission route. Retain confirmation of submission.
- For a sent payment, ask for its transfer reference and the stated delivery window before reporting it as missing.

Is the £250,000 casino winnings limit a withdrawal limit?
No. Clause 10.2 uses £250,000 as a maximum-winnings figure for a single wager or gameplay transaction in its casino/live-casino wording. It expressly contains exceptions, including the phrase “other than progressive jackpot slot, table or instant win games” and specifically advertised game or promotion limits.
That wording should not be converted into a universal limit for every game, a daily cashier limit or a rule that the whole wallet is capped at £250,000. Check the relevant game category, its advertised terms and the applicable version before interpreting a large award. Keep a copy of the game rules and round record if the issue is a disputed award. The amount a game awards, the cash credited to the wallet and the payment sent to a bank are different records. Our wrong-payout guide explains how to reconcile them.
What should you check before accepting a 32Red promotion?
The general promotional terms and the terms of the particular offer both matter. Do not infer today’s eligibility, wagering target or expiry date from an older review. A stated cash balance and a conditional reward need different checks.
- Whether registration, an opt-in or a qualifying transaction is required.
- Which games and payment methods count for that particular offer.
- When a reward must be claimed, used or completed.
- What the wagering calculation applies to, and any stake or cashout conditions.
- What happens to the reward when you withdraw your own deposit balance.
The Gambling Commission requires fair, transparent terms and compliance with those terms. A clause appearing in an operator document is not a ruling that its application to your situation is fair. How should you read 32Red’s regulatory history?
On 23 March 2023, the Gambling Commission announced separate penalties for 32Red Limited and Platinum Gaming Limited for social-responsibility and anti-money-laundering failings. It identified £4,195,655 for 32Red Limited and £2,937,599 for Platinum Gaming Limited, and said both received official warnings.
The announcement’s £7.1 million headline covers both businesses. It should not be reported as a £7.1 million penalty against each one. The announcement also described the sites they operated at that time; it is not a substitute for checking today’s company and licence.
This historical record is relevant to an informed check, while current permission answers a separate question. The current active licence does not erase the finding. The finding itself does not establish the outcome of a present withdrawal complaint, or prove that the current licence is inactive. We have not attempted an exhaustive history of every group company.
How do you raise a 32Red casino dispute?
The current terms direct complaints to 32Red customer support and name eCOGRA as the independent ADR provider. Identify the casino transaction and exact disputed sum, then keep the complaint acknowledgement and responses.
UKGC guidance requires a free ADR route for eligible unresolved disputes after the applicable eight-week complaint period, taking account of permitted pauses. Referral may be offered sooner after a deadlock or final position. This is a dispute-handling route, not a promise of payment within eight weeks.
If the problem concerns a transaction from an older account arrangement, include the event date and the company named in the accepted terms. Do not select a complaints route from an unrelated market or assume the old company name establishes who is responsible now.
