Which PlayOJO company and websites were checked?
The Gambling Commission lists www.playojo.com and www.playojo.co.uk as active domains under Skill On Net Limited, account 39326. Its Remote Casino permission was active when checked on 2 November 2026. The GB terms identify Skill on Net Ltd, the Malta company registered as C50024, as the operator.
| Check | Record | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Casino permission | Remote Casino: Active on account 39326 | Permission for the listed GB gambling activity on the consultation date. |
| Domains | www.playojo.com and www.playojo.co.uk: Active | The exact domains are connected to that licensee. |
| GB contract | Skill on Net Ltd, Malta company C50024 | The operator named in the inspected GB terms. |
| Processing agent | A separate UK company, number 14264775 | The terms distinguish payment-processing services from the Malta operator. |
These are separate checks. A payment description or similar company name alone does not identify the contract behind your casino account. Our licence-check guide explains how to match the website, operator and permitted activity.
Use the GB terms. The same brand appears in other countries, and an international or German page does not establish the conditions for a customer in Great Britain. This check does not extend the GB service to Northern Ireland or another jurisdiction.
Has the licence holder faced regulatory action?
Yes. On 23 May 2023, the Gambling Commission announced that Skill On Net Limited would pay £305,150 as part of a settlement after social-responsibility and anti-money-laundering failures. That is a dated finding about the licensee; it is not a ruling on an individual PlayOJO payment today.
The casino permission remained active at this check. Current licensing and earlier enforcement history can both be true. We have not treated a clean-looking current summary screen as evidence that no regulatory action has ever occurred, or claimed that this is an exhaustive history of the business.
What does PlayOJO’s medium funds protection cover?
Section 33 of the GB terms says customer money is held separately from company funds in a players’ account at Barclays, and assigns it the medium protection category. The statement also says repayment cannot be absolutely guaranteed if the business becomes insolvent.
The Gambling Commission explains that medium protection involves arrangements intended to protect customer money in insolvency, beyond simply keeping it separate. It still does not guarantee recovery. The category concerns failure of the business; it does not insure losses from gambling or decide whether a disputed game award is payable.
If you are already waiting for money, establish whether you have a pending withdrawal, a missing completed payment or an actual insolvency situation. Those require different records. Our casino closure guide explains the insolvency question.
Does no wagering mean every reward is immediately withdrawable?
No. PlayOJO’s public help and general terms advertise no wagering on rewards and offers. That describes a play-through condition; it does not turn an unused free spin, an unredeemed reward or a separate reward balance into money already available for bank withdrawal.
| What you are looking at | What to establish before treating it as cash |
|---|---|
| An unused free spin or ticket | Its eligible game, value and expiry; the reward itself is different from any resulting winnings. |
| Winnings from a named reward | The exact offer’s eligibility and payment terms, including any applicable restrictions. |
| OJOplus balance | Whether it has been redeemed into the real-money balance. |
| A PlayBooster offer | Its current release conditions and the version of the policy that applies to your account. |
There is a material inconsistency in the public documents. The GB Rewards and Game Play Policy displayed version 1.20, dated 31 July 2024, when checked. It contains a separate PlayBooster play-through condition despite the broad no-wagering wording. We have not confirmed that this older promotion is currently offered to GB accounts. Its presence is a reason to obtain the exact current terms, not to assume either that the old condition applies today or that every reward is unrestricted cash.
The same policy distinguishes targeted promotions, eligible games and reward use. A headline cannot establish your eligibility for a particular invitation. Save the terms attached to the reward in your account, especially if support relies on a different version.
For OJOplus, section 36 of the general terms describes a redemption step into the real-money balance and rounding down to two decimal places. Its own example is that £0.0199 permits redemption of £0.01, with £0.0099 remaining. That tiny remainder is not another visible penny; this example explains the record, not a current reward rate.
Your deposit balance needs separate treatment. UKGC guidance says a pending or active bonus must not itself prevent withdrawal of the deposit balance, subject to general regulatory obligations. Do not interpret an offer’s requirement to risk a qualifying deposit as a universal obligation to gamble all your own money before requesting it back. Our no-wagering guide explains the distinction.
Is there a minimum withdrawal, and can fees still apply?
The public GB banking table shows £0 as its minimum-withdrawal entry and sends the maximum to the cashier. The specific withdrawal section 8 of the terms says there is no minimum amount, but reserves the option of paying by cheque below £5. This is more specific than the generic currency table in the deposit section, which includes a £10 figure for deposits and withdrawals unless stated otherwise.
No positive minimum does not mean an unlimited amount can be sent in one transaction. Section 8 describes an individual transaction amount shown under “more info” on the withdrawal page. Its help says you can contact support to request an amount above or below the displayed transaction limit. Check the record for the account you actually hold.
| Published wording | Practical boundary |
|---|---|
| No minimum withdrawal | The terms still reserve a cheque route for amounts below £5. |
| Maximum: See Cashier | A public page does not disclose your individual transaction amount. |
| Cards and online wallets: no charge in the general fee list | Do not generalise that statement to every payment route. |
| Wire transfer: £10, with no charge over £500 | The wording says over £500; it does not establish an inclusive £500 waiver. Confirm the applicable fee and whether that route is available. |
The terms describe returning money through the funding route where possible, with a verified alternative belonging to you if that route cannot accept a withdrawal. One help answer about a wire-transfer-only screen suggests depositing through another method. Ask support about an appropriate verified withdrawal route rather than making another deposit merely to release money already owed.
UKGC guidance permits transparent, direct-cost withdrawal fees within its stated boundary. A fee being printed in an operator’s terms does not by itself decide whether that fee is fair in a particular case. Keep the displayed fee and the accepted term if you dispute it.
Why might a PlayOJO withdrawal still be pending?
PlayOJO says it processes 95% of withdrawals within a few minutes. That is the operator’s published processing claim, not a payment test we conducted or a deadline for every request. Its help separately notes that arrival depends on the payment method, and that some requests receive a payments-team review.
Keep three stages separate: the request was submitted, the operator approved and sent it, and the receiving bank or wallet credited it. A pending request is not evidence that the bank has the money. Conversely, a sent payment needs a payment reference and receiving-route check rather than repeated requests to approve it again.
- Record the amount, request time, reference, chosen method and exact status. Keep any email confirming a later change.
- Ask whether the delay is an account review, an unresolved deposit, a payment-method issue or delivery after the payment was sent.
- If documents are requested, ask which information is missing and use the authenticated Upload Docs route. Do not send identity documents to an address copied from an unsolicited message.
- If the stated review or delivery period has passed, request the next action and keep the reply with your transaction record.
The help refers to possible documents after a withdrawal request. That does not move the GB age-and-identity requirement to the first withdrawal: UKGC requires those checks before gambling. Later information can still be needed for legal obligations, and the operator should ask promptly when it becomes necessary. There is no regulator-wide promise that every document review finishes within a fixed number of hours.
Our withdrawal-stages guide explains how to identify the stage causing the delay without counting a cancelled request and a restored wallet balance twice.
How do you complain, and which ADR timings should you use?
Start with PlayOJO support through the official site and state that you are making a complaint. Section 22 of the GB terms asks for your username, name, explanation and relevant dates and times; it then describes escalation to a manager or supervisor. For a gambling-transaction dispute, the named ADR provider is eCOGRA.
The operator’s published account of eCOGRA’s timing does not match eCOGRA’s current procedure. It mentions two weeks from the problem and a year from the dispute arising. The current eCOGRA page instead requires an attempt to complete the internal complaint process and describes a one-year period from its conclusion. Do not use the older summary as your only deadline or assume every case is eligible after two weeks.
UKGC’s current guidance requires access to free ADR if an eligible dispute remains unresolved after eight weeks, allowing for permitted pauses, or sooner when a final position is reached. Keep the date the operator received the complaint, the complaint reference and any final response. Referral does not mean the claim will be accepted or paid.
A useful complaint states the transaction and amount disputed, the rule or promise you rely on, and the remedy you want. For a missing payment, use our unpaid-casino guide; for a wrongly calculated award or duplicate credit, use the wrong-payout guide.
What has this check established?
It establishes the current public licence and domain connection, and documents selected GB rules with their material exceptions. The most useful remaining checks are personal: which reward terms you accepted, what your cashier displays, and what happened to the specific transaction.
How this PlayOJO check was carried out
We consulted the public UKGC records, GB terms 9-UK-O dated 27 January 2026, the banking and help pages, and the displayed Rewards Policy 11-UK-O dated 31 July 2024 on 2 November 2026. The reward and ADR inconsistencies are retained above rather than silently resolved in the operator’s favour.
We did not open or fund an account, test a game, claim an offer or measure a withdrawal. Public game and payment listings do not establish availability to every individual account. This is a document-based answer to a legitimacy question, not a safety score or an endorsement of every contractual clause.
Related questions
Is PlayOJO’s lack of wagering the same as a guaranteed withdrawal?
No. A no-wagering statement does not remove identity and payment checks, prove that a particular reward has become cash, or decide a disputed entitlement. The exact reward terms and account records still matter.
Can I withdraw less than £5 from PlayOJO?
Section 8 says there is no minimum withdrawal, but reserves the option of a cheque below £5. The banking table shows £0 as its minimum entry; confirm the available route and any applicable transaction conditions with support.
Does a medium protection rating insure my bets?
No. It concerns arrangements for customer money if the operator becomes insolvent. Repayment is not absolutely guaranteed, and gambling losses are outside that purpose.
