When are the keys assigned?
Evolution’s description starts with bets on a single-zero layout, covering zero through 36. After betting closes, the wheel sequence and the presenter’s slot-style key generator determine the round. Between three and 15 keys are allocated, with no more than one on a number.
This timing rules out advice to inspect that round’s keys and then place a fresh qualifying bet on them. Your accepted wager has to be in place before the allocation. An earlier round’s keys do not identify the later round’s keyed numbers.
A chip still visible on screen is not sufficient evidence that a bet was accepted in time. Check the accepted stake or round record if the interface was closing while you submitted it.
Which bets can open the Red Door bonus?
| Your accepted wager | Wheel result | Bonus condition |
|---|---|---|
| Straight-up on one number | That number wins and has a key | Meets the described key-entry condition. |
| Straight-up on one number | That number wins without a key | Ordinary straight-up settlement. |
| Split covering two numbers | One covered number wins with a key | The split is not a qualifying straight-up wager. |
| Red or black | A keyed number of that colour wins | The colour wager does not become a straight-up bet. |
| No accepted bet on the winning number | Another player qualifies | Watching the shared feature creates no entitlement. |
The three checks are the accepted bet type, the winning number and the key. They are separate conditions. The supplier’s rule does not award the bonus merely because a player has some winning wager on the same spin.
The inside and outside bets guide explains why a split and a straight-up remain different positions even if they cover a common number.
What does the 19:1 payout mean?
Both Evolution and BetVictor’s public game description state 19:1 for an ordinary winning straight-up bet. Those odds express profit relative to that winning stake; the original stake is also returned. A £1 eligible ordinary winner therefore returns £20 in total.
BetVictor’s table lists different odds for other wager types, including 17:1 for a split and 11:1 for a street. Do not apply 19:1 to every accepted position, or substitute a standard roulette paytable for this named game.
Keep an ordinary straight-up result separate from the keyed-number feature. The bonus has its own settlement rules; this guide does not assume that its final award must be added to a further 19:1 payment.
Our roulette odds guide explains profit odds and total return. The notation matters before you compare a displayed amount with your account balance.
How do you calculate the whole-round result?
Use a hypothetical round with five distinct 50p straight-up bets. The total accepted cost is £2.50. Suppose one backed number wins without a key, no extra award applies, and all other positions lose.
| Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|
| Profit on the winning 50p position: 19 × £0.50 | £9.50 |
| Return of that winning stake | £0.50 |
| Full round return | £10 |
| All accepted stakes: 5 × £0.50 | £2.50 |
| Net round result: £10 − £2.50 | £7.50 profit |
If none of those positions wins and no other award exists, the round returns zero and loses £2.50. The £10 return in the first example is not £10 profit, and the four other losing stakes cannot be ignored.
This ledger explains units. It supplies no prediction about the next spin, and backing additional positions increases the amount at risk. It is not evidence that wider coverage creates an advantage.
What happens after a keyed number wins?
Evolution describes a 64-segment Crazy Time bonus wheel. A key may carry a multiplier from 2× to 20×, affecting the bonus wheel’s values. A DOUBLE outcome increases the multiplier values and leads to another spin of that feature wheel.
A bonus-wheel value is not the chance of receiving it. Nor does the number of visible segments, without the complete rules and outcome model, establish the game’s overall RTP or the expected return of a betting pattern.
For a disputed bonus amount, retain the key value, wheel event, accepted straight-up stake and final credited award. Do not reconstruct it from a highlight video with a different stake or a different sequence.
How is it different from ordinary or Lightning Roulette?
| Comparison point | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Ordinary straight-up price | The stated 19:1 changes the non-bonus award. A familiar layout does not supply a familiar paytable. |
| Key-entry condition | A straight-up winner needs the key to qualify for this bonus. |
| Allocation timing | Keys appear after betting closes, so they are not a selectable pre-bet filter. |
| Lightning Roulette | That is another named game with its own multipliers and settlement rules. |
The lower ordinary payout accompanies a different prize structure, but the paytable alone does not establish the overall house edge. A complete comparison needs the exact RTP and applicable wager type. This review does not invent that missing calculation.
Use our Lightning Roulette guide if that is the title shown in the lobby. A “lightning” or bonus label in a review is not enough to merge the rules.
Where was the game publicly listed in GB?
BetVictor had a public Red Door Roulette listing on 1 November 2026. UKGC account 39576 for BV Gaming Limited showed Active Remote Casino permission, and betvictor.com had the domain label Active.
These dated public checks establish a listing and the relevant register entries. We did not enter an account, play the game or test a withdrawal. They do not establish that access, limits or a promotion will be the same for every customer.
Before committing, read the exact title, accepted positions, ordinary payouts, key qualification and bonus settlement in the current game help. Our licence-check guide explains the separate company and domain checks.
Related questions
Can a split bet win the Red Door bonus?
The supplier specifies a winning straight-up bet on a keyed number. A split covering that number is a different wager and does not meet that condition.
Can I wait for the keys before placing my bet?
The described allocation happens after betting closes. Advice to select the current round’s keyed numbers at that point conflicts with the published sequence.
Is 19:1 the same as a 19× total return?
No. For an ordinary winning bet quoted at 19:1, profit is 19 times the winning stake and its stake is returned too: 20 times in total.
Is Red Door Roulette single zero?
Evolution describes a single-zero game, with numbers zero to 36. Its bonus and ordinary payout rules still differ from conventional roulette.
Is Red Door Roulette exclusive to one UK casino?
This review does not establish exclusivity. A dated game listing confirms only that observed listing, not the absence of the title elsewhere.
